The cancellation of the Nevada State tournament following that of Nationals at North Carolina State in response to COVID-19 brings an abrupt ending to our season here at Clark Science Olympiad. Our members share in the disappointment felt across the country, especially our seniors who must prepare premature goodbyes to their Science Olympiad careers. It is our hope that the completion of this competitive season does not deter our members from continuing to support each other and looking to next year with determination.
Clark closed out the invitational season with Science Olympiad at UPenn. After one final tough day of competition, there is nothing the team is more determined to do than to redeem ourselves at State in a month.
Clark's Black and Blue teams spent last weekend in Cambridge to compete at MIT, taking home 14th place and 4 medals. The competition was tough, and a true testament to the hustle and preparation ahead on the road to state and nationals this year. Congratulations to everyone & let's get this bread!
Last Saturday on January 4th, Clark Science Olympiad hosted its first invitational SOLVI! A total of 21 states competed from 3 states, with Troy High School taking 1st place overall. Clark even took home medals in 5 events. Congratulations to everyone who competed! Thank you to all the coaches, competitors, volunteers, test writers, proctors, and alumni for making this tournament a success.
Last weekend, Clark's Black and Gold teams took 1st and 2nd at the 2019 Camas Invitational, bringing home a total of 23 medals from Washington state. This was the first time Clark Science Olympiad won an invitational, and it was the best season opener we could have asked for. We'd like to thank Camas High School for hosting a great tournament, our advisors—both traveling with us and back home, and the Charger community. We can't wait for what 2020 holds, starting with our very own SOLVI on January 4th. #ClarkLegacy
