The cancellation of the Nevada State tournament following that of Nationals at North Carolina State in response to COVID-19 brings an abrupt ending to our season here at Clark Science Olympiad. Our members share in the disappointment felt across the country, especially our seniors who must prepare premature goodbyes to their Science Olympiad careers. It is our hope that the completion of this competitive season does not deter our members from continuing to support each other and looking to next year with determination.

If we do make it through December, then that will be great. Lots of people think that this was a hard year, and it is, but we just need to make it through December. I feel like this year is going to be remembered as the worst in all of human history. Well, that might be a stretch, but still, this was a really hard year. I do hope that the next year becomes better, and I know that it will.
